Self Protection Wing & Defence Solutions
The last self protection seminar was a great success even though we only had limited spaces available. Thanks to all who came and we hope you enjoyed it!
We have been asked if we will run more seminars, of course the answer is YES!!! We will keep you informed of dates and times as soon as they are confirmed. We will also be holding female and male only seminars, both followed by a mixed seminar....watch this space!!
Charity trek across the Sahara
Good luck to one of our members Jane Woodhall who will be training hard over the next few months as in November she will take part in a charity trek across the Sahara in aid of the “Children’s Adventure Farm Trust” (CAFT). CAFT is based in Cheshire and provides life-changing experiences and opportunities for thousands of terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.

If you would like to sponsor Jane please log onto: www.justgiving.com/JaneWoodhall
Keep Fit and Pink Military Style
On November 1st 2009, Civilian Military Fitness held a “Keep Fit and Pink Session” in aid of the Genesis Appeal, (the UK’s only charity entirely dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer).
Dressed in array of pink, including pink tutus members of Civilian Military Fitness were joined by members of the public to take part in a 2 hour fun fitness session.
The event raised £2,000
Thank you to everybody who took part or who donated to the session.

Three Peak Challenge 2009
In July this year we ran our first 3 peaks challenge which involved climbing the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales ( Ben Nevis Scafell Pike & Snowden) Within a 24 hour time period.
Eight CMF members took part and completed the challenge in 23hrs 41mins, this time would have been considerably less but we encountered a series of traffic hold ups during the event, which meant that on Snowden we had to push on and complete this mountain in 3 hours or less this was achieved and the challenge completed.
“The team spirit was fantastic and everyone encouraged each other which made it easy and a pleasure to lead this event as everyone had put in the correct and right amount of training and preparation before taking part”
David & Jamie.
